Massacre was an American experimental rock band founded in 1980 in New York City
by guitarist Fred Frith, bassist Bill Laswell, and drummer Fred Maher. The trio
formed after Frith moved to New York following the dissolution of his previous
group Henry Cow. Massacre quickly gained attention for their high-energy
performances and improvised sets, blending elements of rock and jazz. Their
debut album Killing Time was released in 1981, featuring studio recordings from
