Marina Kawano, born on May 21, 1990 in Kasuga, Fukuoka, is a Japanese singer
best known for her work in anime music. While attending Kwansei Gakuin
University, she joined a light music club and was introduced to anime songs
during a training camp, where she sang "Seikan Hikō" from Macross F. This
sparked her interest in anime music, eventually leading her to win the 4th
All-Japan Anisong Grand Prix in 2010 out of over 10,000 contestants. She made
her official debut in 2011 with "Morning Arch", the opening theme for the anime
