Maria Voskania (born Meri Voskanian on 9 December 1987 in Yerevan, Armenia) is a
German pop and schlager singer who grew up in Wasserlosen, Bavaria. After early
performances with a children’s radio band, she received classical piano training
from her parents and later joined school choirs and the Celtis Big Band. Her
first public exposure came through the 2003 Popstars audition and the 2005
Deutschland sucht den Superstar competition, where she placed twelfth. In 2007
