Mao Abe is a Japanese singer-songwriter and guitarist who studied music as a
child and began writing songs at a young age. She entered regional and national
talent contests and began her professional career after moving to Tokyo. Her
2009 debut album 'Free' went to number 17 on the Japan albums chart, 'Pop'
(2010) reached number five, 'Su' (2011) number six, 'Tatakai wa Owaranai' number
six, 'Anata o Suki na Watashi' (2013) number seven and 'Oppajime!' (2014) number
seven.
