Charyse Lois Marshall, known professionally as Mahogany Jones, was born on
August 8, 1978 in Mt. Vernon, New York, and is an American rapper. She gained
prominence through her appearance on BET's 106 & Park Freestyle Fridays,
becoming the first four-time undefeated champion in 2001. Jones' breakthrough
came when Toni Blackman suggested she compete in a rap battle on the show. She
later stepped away from competition to honor a personal vow. Her discography
includes albums such as Sugar Water (2016) and Floating (2020).
