Magnolia Electric Co., formed in 2003 by former Songs: Ohia frontman Jason
Molina, emerged from the American alternative rock scene with a blend of
country‑driven rock. The group released its first live collection, Trials &
Errors, in 2005, followed by the studio album What Comes After the Blues the
same year, establishing a steady output of music that combined energetic
instrumentation with lyrical depth. Subsequent releases included Fading Trails
(2006), the EP Hard to Love a Man (2007), Sojourner (2007), and the 2009 EP It's
Made Me Cry before culminating with the studio album...
