M.O.P.
M.O.P. is an American hip-hop duo from Brownsville, Brooklyn, formed in 1992 by
rappers Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame. Short for Mash Out Posse, the group
introduced its hard-edged East Coast style with the 1993 single “How About Some
Hardcore,” which led to the debut album To the Death in 1994. M.O.P. followed
with Firing Squad in 1996, strengthening its long-running connection with DJ
Premier, then released First Family 4 Life in 1998, a breakthrough album
