A group of mainly French-speaking artists and public personalities, the Enfoirés
troupe was created in 1985 to raise funds for the Restos du Cœur charity founded
by Coluche. Singer Jean-Jacques Goldman first brought the project to life,
composing "La Chanson des Restos", which was performed by a host of celebrities
including Yves Montand, Nathalie Baye, Michel Platini, Coluche and Michel
Drucker. From 1986 onwards, television programs took over as fund-raisers, but
