Lee Wiley
Lee Wiley, born October 9, 1908, in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, was an American jazz
singer. She moved to New York City and began her career with the Leo Reisman
Band at the Central Park Casino. Her breakthrough came with the hit "Time on my
Hands" with the Reisman Band. Wiley later worked with notable figures like Paul
Whiteman and Casa Loma Orchestra. After a hiatus due to illness, she returned in
1939 with an album set of eight Gershwin songs for Liberty Music Shops. In the
1950s, she released Night in Manhattan with Columbia Records and opened the
