Ali Özütemiz, known professionally as Kıvırcık Ali, and born on October 11,
1968, in Erenli, Tokat, Turkey, was a composer, musician, and singer. He moved
to Istanbul in 1983 and began performing in cabarets, earning the nickname
"Kıvırcık" due to his curly hair. In 1995, he formed the group Grup Turnalar,
releasing two albums before starting a solo career with Gül Tükendi Ben Tükendim
(1998). Kıvırcık Ali became a prominent figure in traditional Turkish music,
