Kiesa Rae Ellestad, who performs a mix of house, electronic, and dance music as
Kiesza, is a Canadian singer and instrumentalist whose single and EP Hideaway
won her international fame.
Born in Calgary on January 16, 1989, she studied theatre and dance as a child,
served in the Royal Canadian Navy, and won a scholarship to Berklee College of
Music in Boston. In 2014, she released an EP titled Hideaway which went to
number 5 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart. The title track
