Born Scott Mescudi in Cleveland, Ohio on January 30, 1984, the future Kid Cudi
started rapping at the end of high school. Initially studying film, he dropped
out of university to move to New York to further his music career. He released
his first mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, in 2008, catching the attention of Kanye
West who featured the young singer on his 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak. Cudi
