Joseph Williams Jr. (born June 22, 1962), better known by the stage name
Just-Ice, is an American rapper from Fort Greene, Brooklyn, who later relocated
to the Bronx. Williams worked as a bouncer for punk bars, joined the Nation of
Gods and Earths at age 13, and adopted his stage name in 1986. That same year,
he was acquitted of murder charges and released the singles “Latoya” and “That
Girl Is a Slut”. Williams signed with Fresh/Sleeping Bag Records and released
