Jullyann Inderia Gordon Black, known professionally as Jully Black, was born on November 8, 1977, in Toronto, Ontario. She is a Canadian singer and songwriter raised in a strict Pentecostal household by her single mother, Agatha. At age 19, Black was discovered by Warner/Chappell Music and subsequently signed with Universal Music Canada. Her first notable hit was "Rally'n" in 1998.
