Julieta Rada was born on May 25, 1990, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a
singer and composer known for fusing candombe with jazz, folk, soul, and rock.
She is the daughter of Uruguayan musician Rubén Rada Silva and Argentine
psychologist Patricia Jodara Laizerowitch. Rada spent her early years in Mexico
before moving to Montevideo, Uruguay, at age five. She began singing publicly at
16 with Urbano Moraes and collaborated with artists like Fito Páez and Hugo
