Born Juliana Caetano on July 29, 1995, in Barreiras, Bahia, Juliana Bonde began
singing at age 10 and rose to national fame as the charismatic frontwoman of
Bonde do Forró, an eight-member group founded in São Paulo in 2003 under DJ
Maluco that became legendary for its reimagined sertanejo hits in pounding forró
rhythm. Alongside accordionists, percussionists, and dancers, Juliana Bonde
helped propel the band's explosive early releases like Vol. II (2003) with
