Julia Werup, born in 1987 in Sweden, is a jazz singer and poet. She began her
musical journey as an autodidact, leaving home at 16 and moving to Copenhagen by
the age of 20. There, she started performing with a Deep-House band and
exploring poetry and spoken word. Werup collaborated with various artists,
including rapper Jokeren and pianist Jan Lundgren, and was part of the
performance group Live on Vinyl. Her debut album The Thrill of Loving You,
released in 2020, featured jazz standards from 1931 to 1966 and was produced
