German violinist Julia Fischer has been lauded as one of the world's great
classical musicians since she won the Yehudi Menuhin Competition in 1995 and
went on to win other prizes and perform with major symphony orchestras. Her 2008
release 'Bach: Concertos' with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields went to
number three on the Billboard Classical Albums Chart and 'Paganini: 24 Caprices'
went to number 12 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental
Solo Performance.
