Born in Brazzaville, Congo, on August 24, 1988, Joyce N'sana grew up in a family
open to music: her father Jean-Claude was a songwriter and her mother a church
choir member. Naturally, she joined the choir at the age of ten, singing gospel
and experimenting with public performances. At the age of 17, she arrived in
France to study Applied Foreign Languages in Orleans, despite her main desire
for a musical career. She joined an Afrosoul group with whom she gained
confidence on stage. After moving to Montreal in 2006, she was spotted at the
Syli d'or, winning 1st prize at Mondomix....
