Assembled through the reality competition show Produce 101, JO1 is a Japanese
boy idol group formed in 2020. Composed of finalists Issei Mamehara, Ren
Kawashiri, Takumi Kawanishi, Shosei Ohira, Shion Tsurubo, Ruki Shiroiwa, Keigo
Sato, Syoya Kimata, Junki Kono, Sukai Kinjo, and Sho Yonashiro, JO1 quickly made
their debut in March of 2020 with the single “Protostar,” reaching the top of
both the Oricon charts and the Weekly Singles Chart after selling over 30,000
