Jim Mullen, born James Mullen on November 26, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland, is a
Scottish jazz guitarist known for his distinctive thumb-picking style. He began
his career as the guitarist for Pete Brown & Piblokto!, appearing on their two
albums in 1970, Things May Come and Things May Go but the Art School Dance Goes
on Forever and Thousands on a Raft. Mullen then played with Brian Auger's
Oblivion Express, appearing on the band's first three albums alongside future
