R&B singer and American rapper Jeremih Felton was born in Chicago on July 17,
1987. While pursuing a business degree at Columbia College Chicago, he began
working closely with producer Mike Schultz on material for his debut self-titled
album, which was later released on the Def Jam label in 2009. The album's first
single, "Birthday Sex," topped the Billboard R&B singles chart and also reached
the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The album went gold, as did its 2010
follow-up, All About You. "Down on Me," All About You's second single, climbed
