Jeanne Mas
A key figure of the 1980s, Jeanne Mas (born in Alicante, Spain, on February 28,
1958) transcended the world of pop with her gothic looks, electro-pop/new wave
repertoire and a handful of cult hits: "Toute première fois" (1984), "Johnny,
Johnny" and, above all, "En rouge et noir" (1986). Over the next two decades,
Jeanne Mas devoted herself to conceptual albums such as L'Art des Femmes (1990)
and Les Amants de Castille (2003), in the shadow of the media spotlight. From
afar, Jeanne Mas, who has settled in the United States, marks a few successive
returns in 2007 with The Missing F...
