Born in Chicago in 1985, guitarist J.D. Simo first came to prominence as a
member of The Don Kelley Band between 2007 and 2012, before pursuing a career
under his own name. Renowned for his raw, precise playing, he has collaborated
with artists such as Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Joe Bonamassa, Chris Isaac and
Samantha Fish, among others. Based in Nashville, in 2011 he formed the group
Simo, a psychedelic blues trio with whom he recorded three albums until 2017.
