UK music producer and DJ James Hype was born James E. Warsland on the Wirral Peninsula on 25 November 1989. Growing up in the Wirral, he began his musical career as a club DJ in nearby Liverpool and began working as a producer, turning in remixes of Drake's "Hotline Bling" and "Now and Later" by Sage the Gemini, among others. He released his debut single "Never Leave You" in 2015 and his second single, "I Wanna," the following year.
