Jack Vidgen, born on 17 January 1997 in Australia, is an Australian singer who
first attracted national attention as a teenager. Vidgen’s early performances at
local events in Sydney, where he taught himself piano and guitar, culminated in
a televised breakthrough when he auditioned for the fifth season of Australia’s
Got Talent in 2011, delivering a rendition of Whitney Houston’s "I Have Nothing"
that earned a standing ovation and ultimately the competition’s grand prize.
Following the win, Vidgen signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia
