Samuel Ervin Beam, born 26 July 1974 in Chapin, South Carolina, is an American
singer‑songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and banjo player known under the stage
name Iron & Wine. Iron & Wine released the debut studio album The Creek Drank
the Cradle in 2002, followed by Our Endless Numbered Days in 2004 and The
Shepherd's Dog in 2007, which received positive reviews. In 2011, Kiss Each
