Imago
Formed in 1973, Imago is the brainchild of Bernard Benguigui (vocals and flute),
Vincent Absil (guitar) and Claude Six (guitar), later joined by Jean-Paul
Verrier (bass) and Charles Benarroch (drums). Following in the footsteps of the
May 1968 revolt in France, the band's style is one of progressive rock with folk
influences, and committed lyrics. Their first album, Folle Avoine, laid the
foundations for the band, but failed to achieve widespread popular success.
