Iris (stylised as i☆Ris) is a Japanese idol group formed in 2012 by
entertainment kingpins Avex. Currently comprising six members – Yamakita Saki
(山北早紀) (green), leader, Serizawa Yu (芹澤優) (blue), Akaneya Himika (茜屋日海夏)
(purple), Wakai Yuki (茜屋日海夏) (red), Kubota Miyu (久保田未夢) (orange), Shibuya Azuki
(澁谷梓希) (yellow) – with each one assigned a color, the group takes its namesake
from the Greek word for "rainbow". i☆Ris came together following the Anison
Vocal Audition (アニソン・ボーカルオーディション) that year and launched their first single for
