Howard Victor Carpendale (born January 14, 1946 in Durban, South Africa) is a pop singer and composer from Germany with South African roots. Howard Carpendale took his first musical steps in the mid-1960s as a beat singer in South Africa. He came to Europe in 1966 and later to Germany. Howard Carpendale celebrated his first success in 1968 with the German Beatles cover "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" from the album Ich Geb Mir Selbst 'ne Party.
