Hoppipolla, a South Korean band formed in 2019, originated from the survival
program Superband on JTBC and consisted of vocalists I'll and Ha Hyun-sang,
cellist Hong Jin-ho, and Kim Young-so. Their name was derived from the Sigur Rós
song "Hoppípolla," which translated to "jumping into puddles" in Icelandic,
symbolizing the band's hope that their music brings joy and comfort to listeners
worldwide. Hoppipolla debuted in 2019 with the single album About Time. Their
subsequent releases include the EPs Spring to Spring (April 22, 2020) and And
Then There Was Us (January 20, 2021).
