Formed in Heidelberg, Germany in 1968, Guru Guru is a krautrock band founded by
drummer Mani Neumeier (born in Munich, Germany on December 31, 1940), bassist
Uli Trepte, and guitarist Eddy Naegeli. Originally called The Guru Guru Groove,
the group would soon replace Eddy Naegeli with American guitarist Jim Kennedy,
who was then replaced by Axel Genrich. This ‘classic’ line-up of the
re-christened Guru Guru released their debut album, UFO, in 1970 which was then
