Grupo Miramar was founded in 1972 in Río Grande, Oaxaca, Mexico, by Don Julio
Padrón who assembled local musicians including José Barette Rendón, Enrique
Cariño, and Elfego González. The group’s early work focused on local
celebrations before gaining a broader audience with their distinctive “Balada
tropical” style. Their first major release came in 1976 with the album Una
Lágrima y Un Recuerdo, featuring tracks such as "Una lágrima y un recuerdo" and
