Gro Anita Schønn (1950–2001) was a Norwegian pop singer and actress from
Drammen. Schønn debuted in 1966 under the name Sandie as the vocalist for The
Shakemen. She made her solo debut in 1967 and achieved a breakthrough in 1969
with the song “Lutfattig læregutt”. In 1970, she released her first solo album,
En enkel sang om frihet. The title track, “En enkel sang om frihet”, reached
Number 1 on the VG-lista in 1971. Schønn was a core member of the trio Treff
alongside Inger Lise Rypdal and Stein Ingebrigtsen, releasing 21 cover albums
