Goethes Erben was founded in 1989 by Oswald Henke and Peter Seipt in Germany,
with Oswald Henke as the principal songwriter and vocalist. The duo began their
musical exploration while working as nursing trainees, combining their
theatrical background with a desire to set German lyrics to music. Their early
breakthrough came with the 1990 live tape Der Spiegel, followed by the debut
studio album Der Traum an die Erinnerung in 1992, which positioned the band
