Gates of Ishtar
Gates of Ishtar, a Swedish melodic death metal band, was formed in late 1992
under the name Disrupt by Mikael Sandorf on vocals, Andreas Johansson on drums,
Stefan Nilsson on guitar, and Harald Åberg on bass. The band later recruited
guitarist Tomas Jutenfäldt and changed their name to Gates of Ishtar during
rehearsals for their demo Seasons of Frost. This demo led to a contract with
Finnish label Spinefarm Records in 1995. Their debut album, A Bloodred Path, was
