Gamma Ray
Kai Hansen (guitar, vocals) tired of Helloween in 1988. He then started a solo
project with Ralph Scheepers (vocals) in Hamburg (Lower Saxony). The project
soon became a full-fledged band, and in 1989 Gamma Ray was born, releasing
Heading for Tomorrow in 1990. Sigh No More (1991) and Insanity & Genius (1993)
followed, before Ralph Scheepers created Primal Fear in 1994. Kai Hansen became
Gamma Ray's lead singer, and the band took the opportunity to release Land of
the Free (1995). Now firmly established in the polished metal galaxy, Gamma Ray
released Somewhere Out in Space (1997)...
