Frank Tusa, born April 1, 1947, in the United States of America, is a jazz
double-bassist, composer, and educator. He began playing guitar at an early age
before switching to bass at ten. Tusa's career started with performances in a
Broadway pit orchestra and later while serving in the Army. In the early 1970s,
he collaborated with notable artists such as Paul Bley and Dave Liebman. His
first album as a leader, Father Time, was released on Enja Records in 1975. In
