Frank Lowe's life took a decisive turn at the end of the 50s, when he discovered
the emergence of free jazz. The path that had just been blazed by John Coltrane
and Ornette Coleman, among others, encouraged him to pursue his musical
education in an environment where freedom and spontaneity of artistic expression
were paramount. He thus joined the most committed artists of the American free
