Real name Guy Assoumou Essono, Gabonese rapper Fang The Goldenman was born in
Libreville on April 17, 1983. It was here that he grew up before moving on to
the towns of Port-Gentil and Bitam. He took an early interest in rap, notably
through the Siya po'ossi x and the V2A4, two outstanding Gabonese groups, but
also by listening assiduously to the legendary Tupac Shakur and The Notorious
B.I.G.. He came to prominence in 2005 with his debut track "L'after ki die",
