Edgard Villavicencio Peregrina, known professionally as Eddie Peregrina, was
born on November 11, 1945, in the Philippines. He started his singing career at
a young age and became a professional singer after graduating from high school.
His breakthrough came when he won the singing contest of Tawag ng Tanghalan, a
popular TV variety show. Peregrina's career took off with hit songs such as
