Eastern Youth, a Japanese punk rock trio formed in 1986, emerged from the
underground scene of Sapporo where the members-later known collectively as
Eastern Youth-began performing in small venues. Their first release, East End
LandEP in 1989, introduced the group’s raw energy and established their presence
on local independent labels. In 1990, the trio released Time Is Running, which
cemented their reputation for aggressive guitar work and socially conscious
lyrics. Throughout the early 1990s, Eastern Youth issued several EPs and
full-length albums, including For Skins And Punks(...
