Douwe Bob Posthuma, known professionally as Douwe Bob, is a Dutch
singer-songwriter born on December 12, 1992, in Amsterdam. He comes from a
Frisian family and is the son of Simon Posthuma, a member of the renowned design
collective The Fool. Musically gifted from an early age, Douwe Bob began playing
the piano at six, focusing on classical music and jazz. He later took up guitar
at 14 and found inspiration in country, folk, and pop music from the 1950s to
