Real name Oliver Thomas Johnson, Austrian keyboardist and producer Dorian
Concept was born in Vienna on September 16, 1984. A self-taught keyboard
musician, he studied multimedia arts at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences,
adopting the pseudonym Dorian Concept in reference to the Dorian musical scale.
By the mid-2000s, he was making a name for himself with videos based around his
Micro Korg and other keyboards, notably by BBC DJ Benji B, who played some of
his tracks in clubs, and then by Gilles Peterson, who attracted the attention of
