Del Water Gap is the solo project of Samuel Holden Jaffe, born in Sharon,
Connecticut. Inspired by the Delaware Water Gap, Jaffe began recording as Del
Water Gap while attending boarding school in Millbrook, New York, and released
his debut EP Del Water Gap in 2012. His breakthrough came with "Ode to a
Conversation Stuck in Your Throat" in 2020, which gained widespread attention
after actresses Margaret Qualley and Kaitlyn Dever posted an Instagram video
