Dean Stanley Geyer, born on 20 March 1986 in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a
singer-songwriter and actor. He began his music career at an early age, learning
to play the guitar and writing his first song, "Change", inspired by his move
from South Africa to Australia. In 2004, Geyer formed a band called Third Edge
and recorded original music. Geyer auditioned for the fourth series of
Australian Idol in 2006, performing Marc Cohn's "Walking In Memphis" and his
self-composed piece "Nice to Meet You", which earned him a spot in the Top 100.
