De/Vision was formed in July 1988 in Bensheim near Darmstadt by Thomas Adam,
Stefan Blender, Steffen Keth and Markus Ganßert, with Steffen Keth later
becoming the band’s lead vocalist and primary lyricist. The quartet’s early
years were marked by a DIY ethic, producing the "Your Hands on My Skin" single
in 1990 and "Boy on the Street" in 1992 on Synthetic Product Records, which
established their presence in the emerging German synthpop scene. In 1993 the
