David Usher, born on April 24, 1966, in Oxford, England, is a Canadian musician,
author, speaker, and activist. He spent his early years moving between various
countries before settling in Kingston, Ontario. While studying at Simon Fraser
University, Usher formed the band Moist, serving as the principal songwriter and
vocalist. The band's debut album Silver was released in 1994 and achieved
quadruple-platinum status in Canada. Their sophomore album, Creature, followed
