David Kersh, born Charles David Kersh on December 9, 1970, in Humble, Texas, is an American country music singer and composer. He began his musical journey in his early twenties, performing at dance halls across Texas. His break came when he became the lead singer for the house band at Dance Across Texas in Austin. In 1996, Curb Records signed him, leading to the release of his debut album Goodnight Sweetheart.
