David Gogo, born on March 18, 1969, is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who
received his first guitar at age five. At 15, he met Stevie Ray Vaughan
encouraged him to pursue a career in blues, leading him to perform regularly by
16. He formed The Persuaders, opening for artists like Johnny Winter and Buddy
Guy. After touring with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Gogo signed with EMI Records
and released his debut album David Gogo in 1994, which was nominated for a Juno
